Josefina Munoz Tena

Josefina discovered a brighter future through HELP.

My family moved to Hastings in 1995. Learning English was tough for my husband and me. But our children are bilingual. Listening to them boosted my enthusiasm to learn. I began ELS classes in 1997, and continue to improve my language skills.

I completed G.E.D. classes, where I learned about Project HELP. I enrolled in the Nurse Assistant and Medical Interpreting classes, and enrolled in the Medical Assisting Program. I work toward my goals on a daily basis.

Project HELP has been a great opportunity to help reach my goals. I was able to create a resume and find potential job leads. The program organized tutors for my classes, scrubs, and over all helped me gain personal fulfillment. I am so grateful to Project HELP for giving me this opportunity! I also want to thank my family for their support in helping me to reach my goals.

My Case Manager always finds time for me, and my tutor is very helpful. I hope Project HELP continues so more people can achieve a brighter future.
